Snow! April 12 and we have tons of snow again. Sickening. When will spring get here officially? I think my tulips and other flowers are frozen. That makes me angry. They were growing so nice before this evil weather. Bah!
18 weeks left until the baby! Wahoo! We can't wait to meet her! We found out at our ultrasound that it is a girl. Bennett knew all along! They say kids have a sense about these things...
Kurt has been done with lambing for awhile and has now moved on to calving. It has been going ok but the weather puts a lot of stress on him. I hope it warms up and dries up soon.
"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." Acts 20:24

Kick em when they're down
Well. Where to begin. I see it has been awhile since my last post. I am now 16 weeks pregnant. I have also had a terrible cold for about 3 weeks now. It started as a sore throat and cough, moved into my sinuses resulting in a sinus infection, moved into my chest and now has caused me to have pleuracy which makes it feel like my ribs are broken on my left side. When I cough, I want to pass out from the pain. Life is great. I can't take very much medicine since I am pregnant, which makes it hard for me to get over this. I am so ready to be well again. If it ever happens. I have lost 10 pounds as as result of this. I don't recommend this diet by the way.
We had another snowstorm today and it sounds like we are supposed to get some more tomorrow. Winter rears it's ugly head again. Spring will be very welcome here. Bennett can't wait to use his sidewalk chalk on the cement outside. I can't wait to plant flowers and sweet corn. YUMMMMM.

Vacation from vacation
Well we made it back from California and now I need to have a break from the vacation. I am so tired. Bennett did great on the plane there and back which was a relief. Had a good time seeing the sights of Santa Barbara and San Francisco. We walked from our hotel to Chinatown and ate Chinese there. How ironic huh? It was delicious. The walk itself made me hungry since it was quite a ways from our hotel. Got to see a real fight on the street between two teenagers. One tried to beat the other with a chair. I was a little worried when they ran across the street toward us. But we got out of there without any incidents. Whew! I also saw a man serving soup out of two 5 gallon buckets for the homeless people. It was sad how many homeless there were in SF. Visited Alcatraz which was the highlight of my trip. It was very interesting and I wanted to explore further but they do not allow it. The audio tour of the prison was very neat also. They also had the cells where the 3 men escaped so you could see how they chipped away at the vents and squeezed through them. Wow. All in all, a good time. It is nice however, to be back at my own home and in my own bed. I did not sleep good one night when we were gone. That is hard on a person. I slept great the first night home. Ahhhh. That's about it. I'll blog more when I have another adventure.
