Birthdays in Heaven

I wonder if they celebrate birthdays in heaven. That would be quite a shindig I have to say. I can't even imagine. But if they do, then today my brother Brian is having a wonderful birthday. He would have been 38 years old. Love ya bro.

The cold wind is whipping through everything these days. The onset of winter is here and I dread the snow coming once again. There were a few flakes falling this morning. It was beautiful in it's own way. No wind, just snowflakes fluttering gently to the ground. I can handle the cold, it's the wind that gets me. Brrrrr.

This Saturday Kurt and I are going to a Mark Schultz concert in Sioux Center, IA. What an amazing singer and songwriter he is. I am totally excited.

Life is good.

Lately I have this feeling of complete contentment. For some reason, I just can't imagine life getting any better than this. I have my family, friends, and my Savior Jesus Christ. What more could I want? I have the promise of heaven and eternal life someday. Life is grand.

It's sad to see the weather changing to cold. The leaves are all off the trees now and that means winter is rearing it's ugly head. But after winter comes spring, and I love spring! The smells of snow melting, seeing new buds on the trees just makes me glad to be alive. That is also the time I get to plant flowers! Yeah for me! Winter isn't so bad though. It brings holidays and good food and good times with family. I pray that everyone will have good travel this season.

I saw a great movie the other night. It is called "The Lake House". You should all check it out. Life goes by too fast.
