what happened?

Okay. Spring has officially gone MIA. I don't understand why it can't just warm up outside. This is so frustrating. but I guess we choose to live here. Don't know why. Perhaps we are stuck in a rut.

Bennett and I have been spending a lot of time playing in the sandbox. He suddenly wants to be there all the time. Which is fine, but we have to lock up Rosco because he tries to sit in my lap if I sit down to play. So he doesn't really like that. It's his own fault.

We have 2 cats that are expecting kittens anytime soon. I hope they survive the temps. There is nothing cuter than a kitten. Especially when they play with each other. Awwww.

Kurt is getting things ready for planting. I am hoping he can get it done by the time we have to leave for Maryland. That would be wonderful. I am ready for a vacation already and spring just started.

spring!

Finally it feels like spring is here. Hallelujah! It reached 50 today which is the normal high but it felt awesome compared to the 30s. How sad. Rearranged furniture today. I don't know why but it makes me feel better to change things around once in a while. Spring cleaning fever maybe? Bennett and I spent some time after supper in his fort outside. I helped our cat Seymour catch a mouse which was living under a sheet of metal. Lifted it up and it jumped out and scared me but Seymour grabbed the thing right away. Whew! But then he played with it instead of eating it and I grabbed our other cat Cali and she gobbled it up right away. Good momma kitty. Can't wait for more spring weather. Wahoo!

It's been many moons...

Hello again. It is now a new year. I am enjoying staying at home with my kids. The weather has been terribly cold the last few days. However, Kurt tells me that a warm up is on the way this weekend. Thank goodness. Our well-insulated house (said with sarcasm) does not stay heated when it is very windy. The kids are napping right now so I have time to share some thoughts. Life goes faster as we get older. I am convinced of it. Seems just yesterday we were waiting for our baby girl to arrive and now Brooklyn is already 4 months old. Bennett is swiftly becoming an independent boy at the age of 3. Some days he thinks he knows more than his parents. I am sure that will happen more and more as he grows up. I pray it will not be too fast though. I want to enjoy my children every day God has given to us and them.
