Seasons Change

Tonight we put the camper into storage for the winter. How sad. It seems summer went by too fast this year. It is supposed to freeze really hard tomorrow night so the flowers will all die too. The arrival of cold weather is upon us. It is hard to go outside with the kids and enjoy it. We have Praise Team tomorrow in church... I love singing. Hopefully my children will also. Bennett seems to already have a singer's voice and Brooklyn dances to music. Good signs.

I am praying that the right person will be elected President next month. This is one of the scariest elections ever. Our country is standing on the edge of a large canyon and we can either jump or turn around. I pray God will work in people's hearts.

Courage

I often wish I had more courage. It seems that some people have so much of it and I have so little. I wish I had said something to the person in the store who threw the "F" word out while I was shopping with my 2 children. I want the courage to stand up for Jesus no matter what the consequences may be. Why is there always the fear of being ridiculed for what we believe in? Why is fitting in so important? I feel that we as believers need to get off our butts and start showing people that we are not going away. Speak up for God!

Here We Are Again

Harvest has officially taken over my husbands time. Not that he can help it, but I really don't enjoy this time of year. Fall is beautiful but lonely.

I am working on getting the camper ready for winter. How sad that summer has officially ended and there will be no more trips to the campground. Can't complain about the weather lately... it has been an incredible couple weeks. We have been enjoying the outdoors as much as we can before the cold weather hits. My flowers are still blooming which makes it seem like summer yet.

The tree fort is still a work in progress. No progress lately though. Hopefully by next spring. LOL.

Brooklyn is toddling around everywhere and even enjoys walking outside on the uneven ground. She is definitely an outdoors child. Next summer will be so much fun. But I don't want to hurry time along any more than it already is going.

Ahh... the change of seasons

Well I have my first cold of the fall season. It hit me pretty hard. I have slept with the vaporizer 2 nights in a row now. It has helped some. Thank goodness for medicine also. My sinuses feel better for the first time in 2 days.

Bennett's finger seems to be doing well. We check it out on Monday. Hopefully he won't throw a fit about it. He doesn't like us to touch it.

The tree fort is still waiting for Kurt to nail up the last base board. Suddenly harvest has begun and there is no time for anything else. Oh well. It will get done eventually.

We were hoping to go camping this weekend but it doesn't look like it will work. So we will clean out the camper and get it ready to store for the winter. This winter it looks like we will be able to store it inside. Yeah!

The weather has been enjoyable during the day lately so I have been doing some flower rearranging outside. Moved my hollyhocks yesterday afternoon. Also planted some new flowers from mom in the flower bed by the house.
